Broun Reaffirms Commitment to Life on 39th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

Statement

Date: Jan. 23, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Paul Broun, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement in recognition of the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and in support of today's March for Life:

"Since I took office, the first bill I introduce each Congress has been the Sanctity of Human Life Act, which would define life as beginning at conception," said Rep. Broun. "This would end the state-sanctioned atrocities perpetrated since the Roe v. Wade decision 39 years ago. As long as I represent the people of the 10th District of Georgia, I will work tirelessly in Congress to safeguard innocent human life. I thank the many people from my district and from around the country who have made the journey to Washington today to take part in the March for Life. We must continue to do everything in our power to protect our inalienable rights -- the foremost of which is the right to life."
