Gov. Roemer Continues to Climb In New Hampshire Polls

Press Release

Date: Jan. 2, 2012
Location: Manchester, NH

Governor Charles E. "Buddy" Roemer today achieved three percent in a statewide poll in New Hampshire of likely Republican voters, conducted by Public Policy Polling (PPP). This comes on the heels of an earlier PPP poll showing Governor Roemer at two percent in Iowa.

"I'm pleased about the two percent in Iowa, but I'm really pleased and humbled to see the hard work we've done in New Hampshire start to show," said Roemer. "Mine is the only campaign that has been entirely committed to the First in the Nation Primary since day one. I love this state -- it's Live Free or Die attitude, the fact that a former Governor and Congressman like myself can come here and talk directly to the people. Granite Staters want to see you up close, to see if you pass the smell test. So far, they've smelled all the other candidates and ended up throwing them away like yesterday's garbage."

New Hampshire State Director Chris Buck said that the next major milestone for the campaign is gaining entrance to both of the upcoming nationally televised debates in New Hampshire. "If Governor Roemer is invited to debate, America will finally see the most qualified candidate on the stage, a former Governor with a strong record of integrity and reform, a four-term Congressman, and a successful community bank CEO. It is our strong hope that the debate sponsors will take notice of Roemer's upward momentum. It's going to drastically change this race."
