Gibbs Statement on the November Unemployment Report

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Bob Gibbs (R-OH) issued the following statement today after the Department of Labor released its unemployment report for November 2011:

"Seasonal work is going to provide much needed employment opportunities for people during the holiday period, and any job creation is welcome news for the American people. While this is a positive step forward, too many Americans are looking for work but unable to find it, and too many job creators are looking to grow but unable to do so because of economic uncertainty. We must do much more to strengthen our economy and provide the certainty and confidence employers need to hire even more workers.

"Harry Reid and Senate Democrats are out of excuses and must stop ignoring the twenty-five House passed bills that have been sitting at their door for months. It is time for them to join us and actually work to boost our economy and promote job creation."
