Statement on the November Unemployment Report

Statement

Date: Dec. 2, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Blake Farenthold (TX-27) had the following comments on the November unemployment report:

"Unemployment has now been above 8 percent for 34 months, despite the President's promise that if we passed the stimulus, unemployment would never go over 8 percent. The American people have had enough of the Obama economy and are looking for real solutions to our debt crisis and stagnant economy. Republicans in the House are hard at work, passing a responsible budget, dozens of jobs bills and real spending solutions, none of which have seen the light of the day in the Democrat Controlled Do Nothing Senate.

"While families and small business across this nation continue to struggle the Democrats in the Senate continue to turn their back on them. This fight is not over. My colleagues in the House and I are committed to reigning in the out of control spending and job destroying over regulation rampant in Washington and returning America to greatness."
