The following statement can be attributed to Congressman Steve Stivers (R-Columbus).
"Both job creators and veterans win with today's passage of the three percent tax withholding repeal," Stivers said. "I was glad to be a part of the opportunity today in the House to support both of those groups."
"H.R. 674 repeals a burdensome three percent tax withholding that was once looming over the heads of small businesses and job creators who work on federal, state, and local government projects. This bill passed the House earlier this year, and came back from the Senate with an amendment that extends, through 2012, the Work Opportunity Tax Credit for businesses who hire unemployed veterans. It has the potential to create jobs and put unemployed Veterans, specifically, back to work."
