U.S. Congresswoman Nan Hayworth, M.D. (NY-19) released the following statement commemorating the 70th anniversary of the attack on the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941:

"On this 70th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, we remember those who died defending our nation, and we honor the survivors who continued the fight for the remainder of the war. As the daughter of two World War II veterans, I am privileged to work in Congress to preserve the freedoms for which generations of brave Americans have risked their lives, and for which our men and women in uniform are fighting today."
