House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1633 -- the Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act.
"American job creators -- small businesses in particular -- face tremendous uncertainty in the economy. That is why House Republicans are doing our part to make sure Congress is holding regulatory agencies in Washington accountable so that they do not build barriers to economic growth and do harm to those we need to be hiring," said Chairman Price. "When faced with an administration that has endorsed an overactive regulatory regime in Washington, applying commonsense measures to keep the Environmental Protection Agency from complicating and expanding the web of costly regulations on farmers, ranchers, and rural businesses is a prudent measure. Today's legislation would protect job creators from the threat of additional red tape while providing greater certainty to those trying to help our economy grow and put more Americans back to work. It is healthy for our economy and indeed necessary to have an honest debate about the real world implications of actions taken in Washington. This legislation is moving that debate forward in a positive manner."
