Scott Statement in Observance of Veterans Day

Statement

Date: Nov. 11, 2011
Location: Charleston, SC
Issues: Veterans

Congressman Tim Scott (SC-01) issued the following statement as our nation observed Veterans Day:

"It is the greatest honor I can have every time I meet a veteran, shake their hand, and thank them for putting their lives on the line for us all. The First District is lucky to be home to more than 92,000 veterans, and I extend my sincere gratitude to these patriotic men and women today and every day.

Without the blood, sweat and tears of our veterans, the United States would never have become the greatest country this world has ever seen. With two of my brothers currently in service to our nation, I understand completely the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families everyday as they protect and serve the United States. I wish all our veterans and their families a happy Veterans Day, and I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to join me in thanking them."
