Altmire Statement on Lawrence County Track Harness Approval

U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-04) today issued the following statement on the approval from the Pennsylvania Harness Commission for a racetrack and casino in Lawrence County.

Congressman Altmire said:

"The Harness Commission's approval is good news for Lawrence County. Much of the credit goes to the Lawrence County Commissioners, Steve Craig, Rick DeBlasio, and Dan Vogler, who are working diligently to bring this project to completion. The Lawrence County Track is a project we have been working on for a long time, and, when complete, is expected to provide good-paying jobs for western Pennsylvanians. As the track moves into the final stage of approval with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, I will continue to work towards its completion and support projects that bring good-paying jobs to our area."
