House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement after, on a bipartisan basis, the Senate continued to reject President Obama's so-called jobs bill.

"A day after President Obama brought his latest campaign-style bus tour to a close, the Senate rejected an attempt to push through parts of his administration's so-called jobs bill," said Chairman Price. "President Obama is simply repackaging his failed policies of the past two years -- policies that drove up the country's debt while more Americans lost their jobs. Rather than hiking taxes on job creators and embarking on another stimulus experiment, House Republicans are passing solutions that get Washington out of the way of job creators. President Obama's political theatrics are doing nothing to help get private capital off the sidelines and this economy moving. I call on Senate Majority Leader Reid to consider one of the many bills passed by the House awaiting action in the Senate to spur economic security."
