Rep. Frederica Wilson (FL-17) today released the following statement on the impending release of Gilad Shalit:

"I congratulate Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli government on securing his release through difficult negotiations."

In June 2006, Staff Sergeant Shalit was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists. He has since been held in Gaza.
