Trade Agreements Sent to Congress, Pass House Committee

Location: Washington, DC

Four years after reaching trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea, Congress will finally debate and vote on the bills. The President sent the bills to the House and Senate this week. Early this week, the House Ways and Means Committee approved all three agreements on a bipartisan basis. Next week, the agreements will be considered on the House floor and then forwarded to the Senate for final approval. All together, these bills could create more than 250,000 new jobs.
