Southerland Applauds Research Investment In Tallahassee Job Creator

Statement

Date: Sept. 30, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Representative Steve Southerland, II today applauded a new $35 million research and development contract for Syn-Tech Systems, Inc., a Tallahassee-based developer and manufacturer of petroleum management hardware and software serving 14,000 military and commercial clients nationwide.

"Today's announcement is not just good news for Tallahassee's Syn-Tech, Inc.; it's good news for Florida's entire Big Bend region," said Southerland. "I am hopeful that this three-year contract from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center will ensure that Syn-Tech has the opportunity to expand their operations and create new quality jobs in Leon County and the surrounding area. I remain committed to fighting for a common sense economic agenda that empowers job creators like Syn-Tech to create jobs, while lowering corporate tax rates and lifting the heavy boot of Washington overregulation from the necks of North and Northwest Florida's small businesses."
