Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D., today released the following statement on the TRAIN Act: Assessing the Consequences of Environmental Regulation for U.S. Energy, Manufacturing, and Jobs.
"Today, the House passed the TRAIN Act. The TRAIN Act requires an interagency committee to examine how regulations are making American businesses less competitive with the businesses in other countries. If businesses are less competitive, the United States loses better paying jobs.
"Government should create a stable marketplace through responsible regulation. The EPA has placed layer upon layer of regulation on businesses. In Louisiana, these regulations have impacted the state's entire economy."
