Tipton Reaffirms Oath to Support and Defend the Constitution

Statement

Rep. Scott Tipton (R-CO) issued this statement for Constitution Day.

"On Constitution Day we celebrate our country's heritage, embodied in our most sacred document. This year, Constitution Day is especially important as we have seen our country drift away from many of this document's principles. As a member of Congress, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic. I take that oath seriously and reaffirm it on this important day. I encourage all Americans to join me in reading the Constitution and reflecting upon its values."

Tipton is encouraging students in his district to send his office letters asking about the Constitution as part of Liberty Day. He will respond to all letters received. Additionally, Tipton participates in the We the People: The Citizen and Constitution and Project Citizen programs, which promote Constitutional awareness and education.
