McConnell Calls for Senate Passage of Bill to Stop NLRB From Stifling Job Creation

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following statement Thursday after bipartisan passage of legislation in the House that would restrict the National Labor Relations Board from telling American businesses where they can and cannot open a plant. The bill was passed in response to an NLRB action seeking to stop Boeing from opening a facility in South Carolina:

"I commend the House today for passing, with bipartisan support, the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act, and I call on the Majority Leader to move similar legislation in the Senate. This is a case of unelected officials at an agency telling American companies where they can and cannot create jobs, and represents yet another example of the Obama administration's job-killing policies."
