Scalise Statement on Deepwater Horizon Joint Investigation Team Final Report

Congressman Steve Scalise today issued the following statement after the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) / U.S. Coast Guard Joint Investigation Team released its final investigative report on the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

"My thoughts and prayers continue to be with those who lost loved ones in this tragedy, and we must ensure that those responsible for this disaster are held accountable for their actions," Scalise said. "The Administration's radical policies continue to undermine America's energy security, while also reducing safety and punishing those who have played by the rules. We must hold those people accountable who were responsible for this disaster, while also making sure an entire industry and hundreds of thousands of hard-working families are not made to suffer for the actions of others."
