Tenth Anniversary of 9/11

Statement

Date: Sept. 9, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Today, U.S. Representative Jim Renacci (OH-16) issued the following statement regarding the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001:

"The tenth anniversary of September 11th is a time for all Americans to pause and reflect on those we lost that terrible day, as well as the members of our military and intelligence community who have since made the ultimate sacrifice defending us abroad. The heroic actions of our first responders and everyday Americans, like those aboard Flight 93, personified America's greatness even at one of our darkest hours.

"9/11 may have shocked us all with the brutal nature of the attacks, but it did not dampen the spirit of America. For all of the death and destruction we witnessed that day, ten years later our nation remains a beacon of freedom to world. We will continue to fight those who wish to do us harm and I have no doubt we will be triumphant."

Rep. Renacci is serving his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he is a member of the Financial Services Committee. Prior to his election he worked as a Certified Public Accountant in the health care industry, and owned and operated over 60 other businesses in the automotive and sports management fields.
