Lummis Applauds Governor Mead's Efforts to Reach Wyoming Wolf Agreement

Statement

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) applauded Governor Matt Mead's successful efforts to reach agreement on a wolf management plan for Wyoming with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Lummis released the following statement:

"Today marks one more step in the considerable progress Wyoming has recently made in returning management of the fully recovered gray wolf to our own state experts. For years, Wyoming has worked in good faith to produce and defend a wolf management plan. These labors have been difficult and frankly haven't produced results -- until today. I applaud the Governor's critical role in securing a successful agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service."
