U.S. Senator Kay R. Hagan (NC) today commented on the bipartisan agreement to end the partial shutdown of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
"This agreement gets 74,000 transportation and construction workers back to work," said Hagan. "Nevertheless, it is unacceptable that at a time when jobs are hard enough to come by, partisan squabbling jeopardized the livelihoods of tens of thousands of hard working Americans. In North Carolina, four construction contracts worth over a million dollars were issued orders to stop work. I am committed to looking beyond party lines, and I am fighting to get North Carolinians back to work."
