Congresswoman Hahn Applauds California Dream Act

Congresswoman Janice Hahn today commended the State of California for enacting the first part of the California Dream Act (A.B.130), a bill guaranteeing higher education private source funding for undocumented students.
"All these students want is an opportunity to work to better themselves and the communities they live in." said Congresswoman Hahn. "The State of California is recognizing the deeply American aspirations of these young people, and I hope the federal government will do the same soon. This week, I am especially proud to be a Californian."
This first half of the California Dream Act was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown on Monday.
