Congressman Rick Crawford (R-Ark.) today released the following statement regarding his vote in favor of the Budget Control Act of 2011:
"Tonight I voted in favor of the Budget Control Act because it implements permanent structural change to the way Washington does business and does not raise taxes in the middle of a recession. While this plan is not perfect, it has the potential to pass the Senate and be signed into law by the president. One of the most crucial pieces of the plan is a guaranteed vote on a Balanced Budget Amendment, to ensure this Congress - and every future Congress - lives within its means like the rest of America. I look forward to the Senate bringing the Budget Control Act to the floor so we can get our country back on sound fiscal footing."
