Issue Position

It is clear our nation needs an energy solution that will reduce our reliance on foreign oil and keep costs down. We need to move toward a combination of responsible domestic drilling and domestic renewable fuel production. Increased domestic energy production, including ethanol and other biofuels, will not only create jobs at home, but reduce American's energy costs. We must embrace an all-of-the-above approach to our nation's energy portfolio that emphasizes the production of ethanol, natural gas, clean coal, domestic oil, nuclear, solar, wind and other renewable energy sources.

I will continue to work to improve the national energy policy in my assignment on the Natural Resources committee.
