Issue Position

Family is the backbone of our society, and I firmly believe in maintaining traditional values. I believe strongly in the sanctity of human life. Any attempt to harm an innocent child is wrong, and I am committed to promoting legislation that will protect the unborn. As a member of the Pro-Life Caucus, I am committed to standing up for the lives of the unborn in Congress.

I am a co-sponsor of H.R. 3, the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act." This bill would establish a government-wide ban on using your taxpayer dollars to promote abortion policies and procedures. Also, I am a co-sponsor of H.R. 217, the "Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act," which would prevent any family planning funds under Title X from going to Planned Parenthood. I agree with many of my pro-life colleagues that the largest abortion provider in America should not also be the largest recipient of federal funding under Title X.
