Mississippi Treasurer Tate Reeves, Republican candidate for Lt. Governor, released his fundraising figures for the third reporting period of the year today. The period covers June 1st through June 30th, 2011. Campaign finance reports are due to the Secretary of State's office by close of business today from all statewide campaigns.
In the one-month period of June 2011, Reeves raised $227,725 and reported cash on hand of $1,447,099.15.
"Our campaign is built on a strong grassroots effort with volunteers and contributors from all 82 counties. Our continued fundraising success is proof positive that our message focused on being more fiscally responsible, lowering the state's debt burden and cutting spending is resonating with voters all across Mississippi," said Reeves.
The campaign released an internal poll conducted by OnMessage Inc. that showed Reeves ahead in the Lt. Governor's race by a 56% to 16% margin statewide.
Tate Reeves will attend the grand opening of his campaign's Warren County office at 1222 Washington Street in Vicksburg on Saturday morning July 9th at 11:30 a.m. On Monday, Tate will be holding a press conference in front of the Flowood Police Department at 2101 Airport Road at 11:00 a.m.
