Former Utah governor and Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman picked up two more endorsements from one the state's most prominent political families here early Tuesday afternoon.
Iris Campbell, widow of the late former Republican Gov. Carroll Campbell, and her son, former congressional candidate Carroll Campbell III, endorsed Huntsman in an event staged inside a building on the grounds of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research named for the South Carolina former governor.
"In many, many ways Gov. Huntsman reminds me of my father," Carroll Campbell III said. "Like Ronald Reagan and Carroll Campbell, Jon Huntsman speaks with a voice that inspires people - it inspired me. A positive voice that brings us together, a voice that unites rather than continues to divide our country. As Republicans, that is the path to victory."
Wednesday's Huntsman endorsement from the Campbells join an earlier endorsement from another son of the former governor.
