Rangel Praises NLRB Decision on Elections

"I applaud the National Labor Relations Board's union election reforms. These changes will dramatically speed up the time frame for union elections, and cut the time businesses have to mount anti-union campaigns. This victory is especially important in the wake of the unprecedented assault against labor unions by Republicans all across the country.

Labor unions made America great. As the backbone of our workforce, they ensure that our workspaces are safe, and that fair wages and hours are met. I understand that guaranteeing equal opportunity to workers is one of the most important tasks we can undertake as a nation, and defines who we are as a country.

I will continue to champion the rights of labor and work together with union leaders to revitalize our economy and the lives of all working families in America."
