Congressman Bill Owens today released the following statement, calling on Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY) to resign amidst an ongoing scandal.

"In light of continuing developments in this situation, resignation from office is Congressman Weiner's only option. This kind of distraction is unnecessary and only stands in the way of the important work we have in front of us to create jobs and to reduce the debt and the deficit," Owens said.
