Congressman Cantor Statement On The Introduction Of Pro-Growth Energy Bills

Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) today issued the following statement on legislation introduced by the House Natural Resources Committee focused on expanding renewable energy production. These four bills are part of Congressman Cantor's Plan for America's Jobs Creators to create American jobs, grow the economy, and maximize domestic energy production:

"Right now, people are very worried about the economy and rising gas prices. Most people know someone who has lost their job or is struggling to make ends meet. Energy prices are taking a heavy toll on families trying to meet their budgets and businesses are being forced to choose between paying their bills or hiring new workers. The legislation introduced today by the Natural Resources Committee is part of my plan to spur job creation and help get people back to work. By removing burdensome government regulations and accelerating the development of renewable energy resources, we can maximize American energy production. These four bills will mean more American jobs, and more energy for this country."
