I've told you about recent efforts to expand domestic energy production and bring gas prices down. In an unfortunate turn this week, by a vote of 42-57, the Senate rejected our House-passed bill to reopen oil and gas exploration in U.S. waters. If that's something that troubles you, you may wish to contact your Senators.
It's back to Washington on Monday. Our Financial Services Committee has a full schedule of hearings related to Dodd-Frank regulations, ending the Fannie and Freddie bailout and housing oversight.
