House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement after House Republicans introduced a Plan for America's Job Creators -- a package of common sense reforms that match Republicans' ongoing commitment to promote job creation and economic growth.

"The American spirit of entrepreneurship that built this nation into the world's foremost economic force is alive and well," said Chairman Price. "Unfortunately, the pursuit of dreams and opportunity has been stymied by politicians and bureaucrats who have made it their job to micromanage from Washington rather than creating an environment conducive to growth and job creation. Today's economic recovery has been sluggish because Democrats continue to pursue policies built on reckless spending, job-crushing regulations and a burdensome, anti-competitive tax system. House Republicans want to unleash the power of America's free enterprise system through pro-growth policies that will not only lift the crushing burden of debt but also end the misguided ways of Washington that are holding America's economy back. Our reforms would lift onerous regulations, open up markets, and make our nation a more attractive place to invest, more energy independent, and better able to promote innovation. These steps will empower small businesses and hard-working Americans to grow our economy, create jobs, and foster lasting prosperity in America."
