Representative Sandy Adams (FL-24) released the following statement today recognizing our men and women in law enforcement during National Police Week.
"In recognition of National Police Week, I want to thank police officers in Florida and across the country for their service. As a former Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff's Office and a widow of a fallen officer, I know the sacrifice involved with the job. Our men and women in uniform work diligently and around the clock to keep us safe, enforce our laws, and serve our communities. I would also specifically like to recognize those who have fallen in the line of duty serving and protecting their Florida communities in 2010. Their names will be etched on the memorial in Judiciary Square so that their sacrifice and work will never be forgotten. As police officers from across the country convene in Washington, D.C. this week to recognize our men and women in law enforcement and honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, it is important they know just how appreciated they are."
