Congressman Schrader's Statement of Death of Osama bin Laden

Congressman Kurt Schrader released this statement following the announcement that U.S. personnel had killed Osama bin Laden during a military action on Sunday:

"Last night American personnel carried out a successful operation to eliminate the world's most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden. This is a testament to the hard work and cooperation of the brave men and women in our armed forces and intelligence community. President Obama and his national security team also deserve a lot of credit for this successful mission.

Hopefully this operation provides some closure to thousands of families who lost loved ones on 9/11, as well millions of Americans who remember that fateful September day. However, while justice has been done, America will continue to aggressively root out terrorism in every corner of the world."
