Chabot Statement on Killing of Bin Laden

This morning, Congressman Steve Chabot (OH-1) released the following statement on the announcement that Osama bin Laden has been killed:

"The death of Osama bin Laden marks a tremendous victory in the war against terror and the enemies of freedom worldwide. Nearly a decade ago bin Laden orchestrated the worst attack on the American homeland in our nation's history. The diligent work of our men and women in uniform and the intelligence community who bravely and tirelessly serve our country have brought him to justice. Although our fight to defend our nation and our values does not end, the death of Osama bin Laden will serve as testimony to our tireless pursuit of justice and the cause of freedom worldwide."

Congressman Chabot is the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia.
