Rep. Fattah Pledges Aid for Southern Storm Victims

Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, issues this statement concerning the storm disaster in the South:
"The devastating storms and deadly tornadoes across Alabama and five other states are heartbreaking. Our prayers go out to all those in harm's way. President Obama has taken the appropriate steps, preparing to travel to the region Friday and to authorize national disaster assistance. As an appropriator I stand ready with my colleagues in Congress to make available whatever resources are necessary to help those affected and afflicted by nature's frenzy."
