Acting Senate President and Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Jeff Kessler (D -- Marshall) will be talking to Marshall University students and local residents at a candidate forum this week.
Acting President Kessler's campaign reached out to Marshall University student groups in order to set up the forum and is happy to be given the opportunity to participate in such an important event.
"Due to the shortened time period leading up to the special election, I felt it was important to reach out to college students across the state and allow them the opportunity to get to know me and know where I stand on the issues," says Kessler. "Too often, college students are overlooked during a campaign, which is a mistake. They are our future leaders and members of the workforce and far too important to disregard."
Acting President Kessler's campaign has been reaching out to media outlets, college campuses and other organizations to host these important debates and open forums.
The Question and Answer forum will be held Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00pm in Corbly Hall, room 105. The event is being sponsored by Marshall University LAMBDA and is open to the public.
