Kessler Challenges Opponents to Debate

Acting Senate President and Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Jeff Kessler (D -- Marshall) is calling on all Democratic candidates to sit down and debate the issues facing West Virginia.

Appearing this morning on MetroNews Talkline with Hoppy Kercheval, Senator Kessler issued a challenge, saying he is ready to debate his opponents any place, anytime, anywhere.

"West Virginians deserves the right to hear their candidates sit down together and explain their platforms," Kessler says. "I am willing to participate in debates in all media markets, and ask if any other candidate is willing to do the same."

Acting President Kessler says he has a record to stand on and is willing to put his record and his message up against any other candidate. Kessler's campaign is reaching out to media outlets statewide in an effort to schedule at least four debates, and questions why no other candidate is doing the same.
