In an age where terrorism and digital identity theft challenge us as West Virginians and Americans, we must always be vigilant in the face of these and other dangers. But in addressing these threats, we must always remember that personal privacy is an issue of such importance that the Founding Fathers felt compelled to include it in the Bill of Rights. I believe that a clear line must be drawn to protect our privacy rights. We cannot allow these to be infringed upon by anyone. They are part of the fabric upon which our American culture is sewn.
