Rep. Andy Harris Votes Against Continuing Resolution

Statement

Date: March 15, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Rep. Andy Harris voted against H.J. Res. 48 "Further Continuing Appropriations Amendments, 2011." It was the latest in a series of Continuing Resolutions brought about by the previous Congress' failure to meet its constitutional obligation to pass a budget.

"I didn't come to Washington to put off making the tough decisions necessary to deal with our crippling debt and deficits," said Rep. Andy Harris. "It's time for the president, the vice president and the Senate to roll up their sleeves and work with the House to finalize this year's budget plan. We need to do more."
