Congressman Jim Cooper (TN-05) discussed the importance of the Financial Report of the United States at a House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (OGR) hearing.

The OGR Subcommittee on Government Organization, Efficiency and Financial Management focused the hearing on the FY2010 Consolidated Financial Report of the U.S. Government.

Cooper, a member of the OGR Committee, stressed the need for every elected official and every citizen to read our Nation's Financial Report released annually by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Cooper says this report shows the best picture of our Nation's financial well-being because it includes liabilities on our "credit card."
