Runyan Casts Vote to Repeal Costly 1099 Mandates in the 2010 Health Care Law

Press Release

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Jon Runyan (NJ-03) voted today in favor of H.R. 4, The Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act of 2011 along with a bipartisan majority of his House colleagues.

"I am pleased to join my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to repeal the misguided 1099 provisions of the 2010 health care law. These provisions essentially created an overwhelming burden for many American businesses," said Runyan. "Passage of H.R. 4 was the right thing to do as we seek to get government-imposed obstacles out of the way of businesses, large and small, so that they can create the jobs that we need to get our economy productive and stable again."
