Heritage Action for America has recognized Congressman John Campbell as a Member of Congress who voted for every spending cut amendment to H.R. 1, the Full Year Continuing Appropriations Act of 2011.
"With a record annual deficit of $1.5 trillion this year alone, debt has become the single, most dangerous threat to America's future security, prosperity, and hegemony in the world," remarked Campbell. "We need to start making significant cuts and reforms in federal spending, while generating private sector economic growth, and do so quickly, in order to avoid being forced to make 50% cuts over night due to a debt crisis brought on by insolvency."
"Heritage Action appreciates Congressman Campbell's rock-solid willingness to cut spending. " said Michael A. Needham, CEO of Heritage Action for America. "His strong stance on cutting spending is exactly what America needs at this crucial time."
Campbell serves on the House Committees and Financial Services and the Budget. He is also a member of the bicameral Joint Economic Committee.
