Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02), a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today issued the following statement regarding the United States veto of a United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israel for building settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem:
"Israel is a longtime ally of the United States, and I am a strong supporter of the partnership between our countries. No third party, including the U.S. or the U.N., can impose an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. In Congress, I will continue to be a steadfast supporter of Israel."
