Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR) issued the following statement in reaction to the passing of the Continuing Resolution.

"This was the first step towards bringing fiscal discipline back to Washington and allowing the private sector to grow and create jobs for unemployed Americans," said Congressman Rick Crawford. "This week, the House passed legislation that will keep the government running and cut billions from the budget. We still have a long way to go but we are making great progress. I have complete faith this Congress will restore the economy and get America back to work."

"It was especially gratifying to see a genuine open process take place this past week," said Crawford. "We finally had real, honest debate on the House Floor. The House truly worked its will in the spirit of the Framers."

Congressman Rick Crawford is the first Republican elected to represent Arkansas's First Congressional District since Reconstruction. He serves on the Agriculture and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees. Rick and his wife Stacy, both ASU alumni, reside in Jonesboro with their two children.
