"Ask Me About DC' Tuesday to Show Off the Latest Good-Time Places in D.C.

Press Release

Date: Feb. 14, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), in conjunction with the DC Chamber of Commerce and Destination DC, will welcome Members of Congress and House and Senate staff to her annual "Ask Me About DC" fair in 345 Cannon House Office Building tomorrow, Tuesday, February 15, 2011, from 11 AM - 2:30 PM where representatives from tourism and entertainment-related businesses will answer questions as they showcase the District's tourist attractions, night life, lodging, dining, culture, entertainment, sports activities, and transportation. Exhibitors from the entire gamut of sightseeing activities and downtown and neighborhood amenities will be on hand.

This year, the fair has the opportunity to reach an unusually large freshman House class and other Members and staff about the latest information on what to do in DC. "The new Members may well draw their constituents to DC, many for the first time," Norton said. "Ask Me About DC" will equip Members and staff with the latest information on what is really happening in DC. The goal of the event is to dispel the myth that D.C. is a federal government town."
