Issue Position

* Supported providing $2 billion for Child Care and Development Block Grants so states will be able to provide child care assistance for an additional 300,000 children in low-income working families who have been hit hard by the economic crisis. The funding, including in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, will also create work for an estimated 125,000 caregivers.

* Supported the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which provided $300 million for Childhood Immunization Programs to help ensure that more underserved American children receive the vaccines they need.
