Midlands House members discuss efforts to repeal health care law. All voted in favor of repeal Wednesday.

"We all agree that health care in our country needs to be reformed. However, the law that was enacted in 2010 was not the answer. ... It is now time to roll up our sleeves and write a health care law that will provide quality, affordable health care that is market-driven and without more taxes and government mandates."

-- Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb.

"Today's repeal vote represents not only a promise kept, but also the beginning of the end of Obamacare itself. I will continue to work for Obamacare's repeal until this unconstitutional law is no longer on the books."

-- Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa

"The current health care law is a complicated mess that shifts costs to more unsustainable government spending and erodes health care liberties. America deserves better. I support a repeal of the measure and the crafting of a new commonsense policy with new insurance models for families, farmers and small businesses."

-- Rep. Jeff Fortenberry, R-Neb.

"We simply can't afford the billions of new spending contained in this misguided health care law, and our small businesses -- those very businesses we need to create jobs -- can't afford the new taxes. This is the first step to replace Obamacare with true health care reform which reduces costs and increases access for the American people."

-- Rep. Adrian Smith, R-Neb.
