U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) issued the following statement regarding the tragic shooting of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords:

"My thoughts and prayers are with Representative Gabrielle Giffords, her family, her staff and her constituents. I am deeply troubled by this senseless attack on a member of Congress, her staff and the folks in Tucson, Arizona. Violence like this should not and will not be tolerated in our country."
