Statement

On this day we celebrate the life of a great American hero, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and honor his legacy of hope, action, and equality. Dr. King's commitment to nonviolence and his message of unity still resonate today, reminding us that our country is at its best when we put aside our differences and work together.

Dr. King's dedication to serving others has inspired countless Americans to devote their time to volunteering and giving back to their communities, and there are hundreds of service activities happening across the nation in his memory. May we embrace Dr. King's spirit of positive action throughout the year and continue to build a country of which he would be proud.
