Christmas is a magic time of year when we see in our children's and grandchildren's eyes the merriment and wonder of the season. This is also the time of year we gather with our loved ones to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and his message of peace and goodwill towards all mankind.

During this time of year many give generously to charities and volunteer their time to help others. It is my sincerest wish that we can all live the true message of Christmas, the message of peace and goodwill, throughout the entire year and not just during the holiday season.

As we plan our Christmas celebrations and gather with our families and friends, I also hope you will take a moment to remember those brave men and women in uniform who are sacrificing time with their loved ones at Christmas to protect our freedoms. Please say a special prayer for them and their safety as they enable us to celebrate peacefully in our homes this most peaceful of holidays.
